Time to finally start updating!

So!  Now that open beta is up and running! (Finally…) you can find me on the Figaro Server in the Linkshell called Bloodsworn.

I will be going by the character name of “Switch Stix” and will be playing archer.  I am a bit nervous to start playing in a hardcore LS just due to the fact that I have no actual grasp on how this game is going to work other than what I have read and how the game will even perform on my shitty old PC.  Regardless, it’s the start of me turning over a new page in my MMO life.  After 4 years of FFXI, 3.5 years of WoW, I now have the MMO of my dreams in front of me.

As for outside of the game life: Still working at Blizzard and will probably continue to do so for a while.  Just picked up another 3:30PM-12:30AM shift so will be spending way more time in front of my PC and far less time in front of a beer XD

I am still working on getting my car fixed up properly and should be able to hopefully very soon.  Also working on getting a new rig for my PC (Link Here).

Alright!  Back to spamming the Beta Login Server till I get in!

New Wave of Invites Soon?!

Looks like we might be getting a new wave of FFXIV Invites soon! ^_^

Basically the picture above is a post from the JP FFXIV BETA Forums.  It says:

Alpha tests are at fixed times on 19, 20, 21, and 25 Mar.
beta test begin after 1 April, and details will be given out at about that time.
Your characters will be deleted/reset between alpha and beta.

Can hardly wait for another chance at FFXIV! :3  WOOT!

In the interim, I have decided (with some persuasion from a friend) to move back to WoW for the time being and play SC2 when I get burn out.  I will be breaking my Druid down to nothing in terms of monetary value and will be stocking my paladin up with as much gold as possible.  I will then stop payments on the secondary account I have my druid on too.

From then on, my WoW Main will be Lightened – Blood Elf Paladin.  Pics Inc in next update!

The Beginning!

Welcome!

This is officially the continuation of the Switchstix line of blogs.  Some may remember me from my LJ Days; some may remember me back from my blog days on switchstix.net, and some may just remember me from one of the following games:

I’ll start like I always do with a bit about myself and where I am in life, followed with some goals.

First, since you already have my character lists from all the games I have actively played for almost the past 8 years, I don’t really need to do more there.  I am a 24 year old male living in Austin Texas and working for a Gaming Company out in this area.  Currently I work in the “Customer Service” department but I actively manage a team of 13 others and deal with complex character issues.  Hoping to get a promotion soon in the coming months and start working my way up the corporate ladder.  Gotta love how Corporate America works, right? >_>

Currently, I am actively playing the Startcraft 2 Beta and occasionally logging into WoW (even though I haven’t logged in for several weeks now).  I love MMO’s and when it comes to gaming: RPG, Fighting, and RTS are probably my top picks.  I am -really- looking forward to FFXIV and ready to get started there.  I think I finally convinced one of my long time best friends to join me once I can get in too!  I am so desperate that I even went to WalMart and tried to steal a code from FFXIII box so I could get into the FFXIV Beta since you get a “Special Prize” when you register your FFXIII code.  I won’t be going through with that plan though as it appears that the registration code you receive for the FFXIV Beta is limited to the PS3.   Once FFXIV does come out, I can guarantee you that I will be making the move over to it full time.  I will probably give up a good chunk of my social life and will not be laid for several months. XD

In addition to getting into FFXIV, my other goals are to get promoted at work, and get better at Starcraft 2.  That’s about all for the moment.  I -was- doing decently with Startcraft 2 in the newbie league but after getting promoted to the next one?  Not so much lol.  It’s all good though.  So long as I am having fun there really shouldn’t be an issue with me sucking at the game for now.
